We are an affiliated provider for Southern Cross and NIB. Our services are generally accepted by all other health insurance providers. Please note, health insurance policies do differ, so you will need to check the terms of your policy prior to consultation as any costs not covered by your insurance provider need to be paid at the time of consultation.

Yes, insurers require a referral from your GP or another medical specialist to meet eligibility to cover costs, as such a referral is generally needed to make an appointment.
If you do not have health insurance and are self-funding treatment, a referral is not necessary but is preferred. -

The Hawke’s Bay Respiratory and Sleep clinic is located at 209 Canning Road, Hastings, 4120.
Our rooms are located in the Kaweka Hospital directly across from the Emergency Department at the Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in Hastings.

There is a small amount of parking located at the clinic site but street parking is also available.

Generally not. Most tests need to be analysed and interpreted by the specialist after they are completed. Reports will be issued to the referring doctor along with clinical interpretation. In most cases all results will also be copied directly to you.
